Programs for Adults & Teens
After Hours Game Night:
The first Thursday of each month, the library stays open an hour later than usual to accommodate board games later into the evening. the program runs from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.
Board Game Afternoon:
Tuesday afternoons at 2 pm folks gather to play board games and chat.
Book Discussion Group:
Book discussions take place at 4 pm on the third Tuesday of each month.
Everyone is welcome to participate as we read a variety of genres, including fiction, nonfiction, biography, young adult, and middle grade books. Discussions will either be in person or online using Zoom.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Club:
Share a book or two at 10 am on the first Saturday of each month.
Anyone is welcome to share something they've read or are currently reading.

Dungeons & Dragons:
Every other week on Thursday evenings, the Elkader Public Library hosts a Dungeons and Dragons group from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.
If you are 18 or over and interested in joining in the group's adventure, you may register at elkader.lib.ia.us/events, or email elkaderpubliclibrary@gmail.com.
The Literary Lens:
On the third Monday of the month at 3 pm, the Elkader Public Library meeting room holds a film screening and discussion for ages 18+. Seating is limited and accommodates the audience on a first-come, first-served basis.
Uke It Out!
The second Saturday of the month, a ukulele instruction program takes place in the meeting room of the Elkader Public Library. A limited number of ukuleles are available to borrow during the program. If someone needs to use a library ukulele during the program, they may register for the program at elkader.lib.ia.us/events.
